When you shop at Cloth Pad Shop, you are buying from individual sellers. Each seler is an individual business who has joined Cloth Pad Shop, so that we can create a larger store with great variety in products.

Each seller has their own mini-store, which you can access by clicking on their name in the side menu.  This takes you to their main page, where you can find their information as well as links to their products, blog, gallery and contact information.  If you wish to view their products, simply click on their "My products"  button, and it will list all their products for you.

If you want to view all the products available for sale from all our sellers, then you can select to view by a certain category, or all the products from all categories.

Here at Cloth Pad Shop, we have tried to keep things convenient for you, so you will notice that the individual seller's names are shown as part of each item listing. This is to let you easily see which seller that particular product is from, which is useful when browsing the products through the categories pages.

Do I need to register/sign up to the site?

You can create an account if you want to, or you can go through the checkout without creating an account. If you have created an account on another CongoCart site, then you can use that same login for any other Congo sites, including ours. Signing up to the Congo service is similar to signing up to other online stores - where creating an account gives you access to a "my account" screen to see details of previous orders, and stores your shipping details so that you won't need to type them out each time you shop here. Your details are not given out to anyone, and you will never receive spam from Cloth Pad Shop. Payments are handled off-site (either through paypal or bank deposit or money order), so payment details are never entered into our system.

If you would rather not create an account you will just have to type in your shipping details each time you shop.

Buying from more than one seller

While each store here is a individual businesses, your shopping does not have to be limited to the one store. You may purchase items from multiple sellers in the one transaction, to make it a convenient way to shop. Or you can shop just with one. The choice is yours.

As you shop, simply place any items you wish to purchase into your "shopping cart". It doesn't matter which store they are from, they will all go into the one cart (this applies only to stores in the same country section, as each section has it's own separate shopping cart system).

When you go through the checkout process, you will see your orders separated out by store, so you can select the postage option for each part of your order. Like this:


As each seller on Cloth Pad Shop is trading as an individual business, your orders will be shipped to you directly from the seller you have purchased from. So if you order from 2 different stores, you will receive your order in 2 separate parcels. This is no different from purchasing from several stores on their own. Our store simply gives you the ability to do your shopping on one website, rather than searching around the Internet. However one difference with this store is that it allows you to make one payment for all your purchases, rather than you having to pay each store separately. This payment is made to Cloth Pad Shop's paypal account, and is then forwarded on to the businesses you have purchased from.

What is "Previewing"?

When a store wants to make an announcement, or has a product they are going to be bringing out (but doesn't want anyone to buy it yet), they can set the product to "previewing" status. Which has no "add to cart" button, and is not able to be added to your cart. Reading through the product details, you will find out if it is a store announcement, a product that you need to contact the seller to purchase, or an item that will be available to purchase at a later date.

Adding items to your cart

When you add items to your shopping cart, they will appear in the shopping cart area under the menu on the left of the screen. You can view this at any time. Each seller can choose a method of allocating the "sold" status of products in a shopping cart. Most products will not be considered to be "sold" until you have completed the checkout process. Once you are at the point where you are asked to pay for your purchases, the checkout has been completed and your products are now considered "sold" to the system, and nobody else can purchase them.

So for that product you just "have to have" it is advisable to check its status, which is shown in the shopping cart screen, and if it is a "claim check", you should checkout as soon as possible with that item if you feel you might lose it to a faster shopper than yourself. If you wish to continue shopping you can contact the seller to ask about combined shipping, or make the additional purchases and delay payment until you have discussed combined postage with the seller. Please be aware that if you select paypal as the payment method, you order will automatically be canceled by the system if payment hasn't been received within 24 hours. So if you plan to delay payment, please select a different payment option in the checkout - even if you plan to pay with paypal.

Postage Options

When shopping from more than one store, you will complete the checkout as you would normally, but at the postage portion of the checkout process, you will be given a choice of shipping options for each of the sellers you have purchased from.

"Bestway" is our customised shipping options, which allow us to charge flat rate postage or other rates the individual seller wishes to charge. In most cases you should only have that option available. To select your postage option, select "Bestway" and in the next screen the postage cost will be calculated. If you choose a postage option and it reverts to the other option, this means that only that postage option is available.

Buying from the US/AUS sections

When you come onto the Cloth Pad Shop website you'll have the choice to shop in the Australia/New Zealand store, or the America/Canada store as well as the European store. You can shop in any store, no matter where you live. However postage prices given are for domestic mail within the countries in the particular sections of the website. Often the stores include a product for "International Shipping" that can be added for International customers. A new version of our cart software is being developed to allow a more seamless postage calculation for International customers. If buying products from another country, you will need to check that the seller will post to your country (that information is usually found in their policies section, you find this by clicking on the "About Us" in the menu on the side), and what the extra shipping charges would be. We aim to make this process easier in the future.

If you know the store ships to your country, but you don't want to wait for a postage quote, you can checkout your order and then e-mail the seller for the revised order total before paying, by using the "Request totals" payment option at checkout.
